This year, Knynsa hosted numerous events, proving yet again that aside from being SA’s favourite holiday town, it is an awesome detination for any event – big or small!

The Pick ‘n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival was certainly a major highlight on the Knysna calendar in 2009, enjoyed mostly on wonderful warm sunny days.
 | There were a number of new Events in 2009, among them our very own Whiskey & Jazz Cruise, co-hosted by the Featherbed Company. The Knysna Pipe Band provided a mood setting send off, while Knysna turned on it’s absolute charm for a glorious sunset cruise on the Paddlecruiser. With the Knysna Jazz Quartet taking over from the Pipers, a wonderful evening was enjoyed by 150 odd people with good food, marvellous whiskey - sponsored by Distell with Bunnahabhain, Bains, Three Ships & Black Bottle, Really Great Brands Company with Jack Daniel & Famous Grouse and Edward Snell with Grants & Glenfiddich - and above all, great company.

The South African Navy is a regular guest of honour at the Knysna Oyster Festival, and is usually welcomed through the Heads and into Knysna by the locals and holiday makers alike in a festive lagoon parade. |

Always main events of the Pick ‘n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival, record numbers of competitors battled the courses in the usual Oyster festival spirit. The Big Screen at Loerie Park after the Cycle race provided added entertainment.
And then of course, there was The After Party of all after parties! This little town of Knysna rocked the night away with The Parlotones, Prime Circle, Euphonik & Sean Duvet at the Heineken Pavillion at Loerie Park.

| 12 – 18 April 2009 | Knysna Golf Club Centenary Festival |
| The Knysna Golf Club is celebrating their Centenary year in 2009. The festivities kicked off with a flag raising ceremony in February. Heralded by the Knysna Pipe Band, the champagne flowed and the Oysters were delightful.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, a wonderful weeklong Festival of Golf was held from the 12th - 18th April. This was undoubtedly a huge success and much fun was had by all. A total of 895 rounds were played over the 7 days, and with the Featherbed Company's amazing donation of a FREE voucher to each player throughout the Festival for a lunch time cruise on the Paddlecruiser, a total of close to R200 000 in prizes and giveaways were won by the players!
